"Demon Dogs Review."   It appears the only thing leading fans of pop star Jeremy Jordan to the Centerstage Chicago review of a greasy spoon known as Demon Dogs was the rumor that Jordan had been "discovered" there. They proceeded to turn the thread into a paean to Jordan.

Hi. No i’m not a Spice Girl. But i do think jeremy Jordan is handsom. not necessarily SO HOT, but handsome in a way — sophistacated……….yunno? well anyway if yall find any more GOOD web sites you can send them to me.

A run of the mill comment, but the last sentence caught my eye. Do the blogosphere, review sites, guestbooks, and other text fields just constitute a series of “good” forums for chatting about celebrities to these commenters? Did anyone send Melanie B a link to another hijacked thread where she could also spout about Jeremy Jordan?
(Probably not. Melanie B, like so many other commenters, did not post her email address.)

  1. I don’t understand people who go to websites and expect you to give them all the links and information you’ve collected through careful research over the years. I’ve had quite a few people email me asking me to email them with more conferences, more programs, more whatever. Argh! Do your own research, people!

  2. Well, remember that one of the few things research on information-seeking has found is that in the vast majority of cases people turn to another individual for help, rather than using print materials, so this is a pretty ordinary pattern. And you look like the kind of person who has really good selection and curation skills, Tiara, so I’m not surprised people are turning to you for help :)
